Seaton Hole Beach, West Seaton

It can be hard to find good things about Seaton, it has a long promenade, perfect for peaceful Winter walks, in a fantastic setting but somehow it all lacks a little bit of love.  When you do find something special, which you can, it stands out a mile. Seaton Hole Beach, backed by the red Devon cliffs, is at the most westerly end of the beach and is easiest to get to when the tide is low. At high tide you can walk along the Old Beer Road; this is all part of The South West coastal path.

At low tide there are dozens of rockpools and it being a quieter beach, the hidden treasures are plentiful. When buckets are full and legs are tired, pile up the steps to the sweet Clifftop Cabin cafe. There is a  lawn with a wonderful view of Seaton Bay for tea, homemade cake and ice creams. A little treat in Seaton town.
