Coastal Path, Seatown to Golden Cap

Seatown is the perfect spot when you want to be away from the crowds but still have facilities. There is a pub (okay), a shop and loos. Perfect for a stop over on the coastal path walk. J and I parked at Langden Hill which is on the West side of Seatown; its a super quick and easy walk up to the Golden Cap to catch a view to die for with a 360 degree vista.

The amble down  to Seatown did entail a field of cows which I am never comfortable with. Even if you try to not look them in the eye, they keep the stare on. I think it could have been J’s red top which was bothering them and half way through the field we had to break into a light jog when we spotted a bullock: Yet again, showing our townie colours…relief at the Anchor and fuelled by a pint of cider the cows didn’t seem so bad on the way back.

  • manageable with children and a baby in a backpack.
  • parking cheaper at Langden Hill than Seatown
  • eat simply at The Anchor Inn stick to sandwiches and fish/chips
  • only a further 3 miles from Golden Cap to Charmouth
