Maiden Castle

MaidenCTop

My long suffering husband J didn’t get out much when he was a child growing upĀ  in Dorset. The kids and I endure long stints of him reminiscing about the trips he did do, most of which were within a 30 mile radius of his home. We indulged him the other day with a visit to Maiden Castle and we got the sense of freedom that he must have experienced as a kid. Read more

Jonny Does Walkies and Delicious Suppers

Fashion friend D and I ventured out on coastal hike on a super sunny morning, the kind of weather we are so getting used to now. D and I looked the part at the start, I think she even had a rucksack and I had trail mix. So with the whole hiking scenario we were. Led by the super fit and ever charismatic Jonny, that is of Jonny does Dinner and his equally fit and perky dog Ralph. Read more

West Bay

Beautiful day on Saturday. Super sun, super blue sky, super cliff walk, super wave like cliff top grass. Not so super landslip on the East beach. Right by that Broadchurch spot. Out at sea were the Gig Clubs 3 boats; Rebel, Black Ven and Tempest, all made by local boatbuilder Gail McGarva. Looking splendid. Read more

Jailhouse Cafe, Portland

My recent fascination with prisons has been fuelled by a brush with the feds on the way back from the big smoke. They were playing the whole good cop, bad cop scenario and I even got my rights read to me, Read more

Crab House Cafe

Tried to come to the Crab House Cafe before but I was so badly organised ie. it was totally booked and for some strange reason I seem to think that no booking would be required. But it is soooo good that booking is of course essential. Read more

Cogden Beach

In my Summer ,which mainly involves complete chaos combined with a lot of fun, the Autumn catch up can take a while before I get in the swing of things.

Hence I found some forgotten photos taken in August which sent me straight back to a beautiful sunny spot… Read more
