2 things to do for half term week

2 things to do, one for clement weather, the other for inclement. We are bound to have the latter and a possibility of the former at some point in the week.

Bluebell Woods at Blackbury Camp, an old Iron Age fort. Its quite unbelievable until you see it in its full glory. Its this week ahead or not at all. Perfect spot for picnics and lots of flint for children to mess about with. You relax amongst the bluebells with a vino and a Beer crab sandwich and the kids run amok with sharp and dangerous Iron Age tools they have fashioned. Heaven. Turn opposite the Beer road from the A3052. http://www.seatonbay.com/attractions/slideshow/bluebellsmin.html

The Rotunda Gallery, Lyme Regis Museum – the ever talented Keith Robinson exhibits his childrens illustrations and personal work; Jurassic Dreams. He also created the new Lyme Regis town map, the preparatory work of which is displayed too. Plus a fun and interactive kids story writing competition…http://www.lymeregismuseum.co.uk/whats-on/exhibitions

Those bluebell woods are a must for us, looks fab. We managed brief glimpses walking through the Clent Hills in the West Mids last weekend, but I won’t be satisfied until I’ve had the full blue carpet experience.

If it stays dry they should be in their full glory for at least another week. It really is amazing, I have never seen it, like you say, as a full blue carpet…enjoy!
